During its first year of operation, the Mitinsky Palace of Marriages has become one of the most sought-after venues in the capital, having united over five thousand families within its walls. This was reported by Svetlana Ukhaneva, head of the Civil Registry Office (ZAGS) of the city of Moscow.

The Mitinsky Wedding Palace was opened by Sergey Sobyanin on October 13, 2025.

“In just one year, the Mitinsky Wedding Palace has become the place chosen by more than five thousand couples to start their family story. It is especially important to us that newlyweds come here not only for a beautiful ceremony but also for the atmosphere — modern, solemn, and truly festive. Today, the Mitinsky Wedding Palace confidently ranks among the most sought-after wedding venues in Moscow, and its first year of operation clearly confirms this. The highest number of marriages at the palace was registered in August — 1222 — making it the most popular month. In addition to wedding ceremonies, the palace solemnly honors wedding anniversary couples and hosts district and city-themed events,” said Svetlana Ukhaneva.

Unusual halls and a podium for newlyweds

In September, the Mitinsky Wedding Palace once again became the most sought-after, surpassing the popular Wedding Palace No. 1. In the first month of autumn, 889 families were created within its walls.

Mitino Wedding Palace turned out to be the most popular throughout the summer season: nearly three thousand couples registered their marriages there over the three summer months. On a regular day, staff conducted about 45 ceremonies, and on the most in-demand dates, their number exceeded 70. The most popular day was August 26 — 81 couples got married that day. On June 20 and August 22, more than 70 marriages were registered on each of those days.

The Wedding Palace offers four halls for holding ceremonial events. The most popular is the Mirror Hall: over the course of a year, it was chosen by 2,800 couples. It is designed in dark tones with a classic layout featuring the marriage registration area and guest seating. The ceiling is made of polished steel, mimicking water ripples, and the walls are finished with wood-like materials. The main decoration of the space is a designer LED chandelier suspended on cables. The hall offers a beautiful view of the green area, creating a cozy atmosphere.

1,900 couples decided to register their marriage in the White Hall. It is decorated in light tones and is notable for having a podium for the newlyweds in the center, with guest seats arranged around it. Thanks to this, it is convenient to watch the ceremony from any point in the hall, and the newlyweds can see their loved ones.

The Antique and Marble halls are also available for lovers. The Antique hall is spacious and bright, featuring a modern and elegant design. The glossy marble floor reflects the light from the ceiling fixtures, enhancing the sense of airiness. A vertical garden made of panels with green moss adds a vibrant accent against the neutral palette of white walls. Soft sofas and benches are provided for guests in this stylish space.

The Marble Hall is a spacious and bright room, decorated in soft shades. The shiny floor, like a mirror, reflects the light from numerous ceiling fixtures, creating a feeling of airiness. A special charm is added to the hall by an accent wall adorned with the logo of the Moscow Civil Registry Office.

Bright events and places for photo shoots

In addition, bright events are held in the palace. Thus, on the beautiful date of May 26, Jasmine, Honored Artist of Russia, People’s Artist of the Republic of Dagestan, held wedding ceremonies for three couples together with employees of the Moscow Civil Registry Office. She congratulated the newlyweds by performing the song “What a Happiness.”

The “Young Family Library” operates in the Marriage Palace — a special area with books about family relationships, child-rearing, and useful hobbies. Special meetings with experts — authors of the library’s books — are held in the conference hall.

Near the Wedding Palace, there are beautiful green areas for the first family photoshoot. Newlyweds take pictures in Mitinsky Park, which is a 10-minute walk away. Additionally, couples can travel to the nearby Arkhangelskoye Museum-Reserve.

Mitinsky Wedding Palace is a bright building with an area of over 2,900 square meters. The facade is clad with glass fiber concrete panels that imitate light-colored natural stone, while the base and porch are made of matte granite. The interiors are designed according to a custom design project in a neoclassical style.

On the first floor of the palace, there are offices for submitting applications, a vestibule, a waiting hall for citizens, a conference room, and a cloakroom for visitors. Since the opening, anyone can familiarize themselves with the timeline in the first floor hall, which displays the history of the development of the Moscow civil registry offices.. On the second floor, there are four halls for solemn wedding registrations, the groom’s and bride’s lounges, areas for the newlyweds’ photo sessions, a large waiting hall, as well as offices for document processing.

An architectural feature of the palace is the staircase with railings and marble covering, connecting the first and second floors.

The building layout is designed so that visitors first enter the palace through the main entrance, and after the ceremony ends, they leave through a different exit, entering a landscaped area with a gazebo-rotunda for photo sessions. In good weather, if the newlyweds wish, the ceremonial events can also be held inside the rotunda itself.
