Specialists from the capital urban economy complex carried out the current repair of the Novoalekseevsky tunnel in the northeast of Moscow. This was reported by the Deputy Mayor of Moscow for Housing and Communal Services and Improvement Petr Biryukov.
“Special attention is paid to the maintenance of engineering structures; all facilities undergo regular inspections, and if necessary, a decision is made to carry out major or current repairs. The repair of the Novoalekseevsky tunnel, located at the exit from Novoalekseevskaya Street onto Prospekt Mira towards the city center, has been completed,” noted Petr Biryukov.
During the work, traffic was not completely stopped — lanes were closed in stages.
A new “gable” type wall cladding was installed in the tunnel. Specialists first assembled a metal frame, then attached cladding panels to it. This system improves the appearance of the structure and helps extend the service life of the constructions. The work was carried out on an area of about four thousand square meters.
