Application “My id” for more than three years helps residents use digital versions of documents, as well as always have the necessary information at hand to fill out forms and applications. It offers more than 30 documents and services. The application is in demand among city residents: its audience exceeds one million unique users, noted in Department of Information Technologies of the City of Moscow.

“The development team continuously improves ‘My id,’ adding new features and application scenarios in the city. Today, it can be used to pay for transportation via the virtual ‘Troika’ card, to borrow books from libraries using an electronic library card, to confirm the preferential status of large families, and much more. Residents actively use the application: since the beginning of this year alone, documents and services have been accessed about seven million times. The most frequently viewed information in ‘My id’ includes passport details, SNILS and INN numbers, digital versions of the ‘Moskvyonok’ card are opened, and users also switch to the ‘Digital id’ of the ‘Max’ messenger to confirm their age or eligibility for benefits,” said the press service of the department.

This year, new services and documents have appeared in the app, which are convenient to use in the city. For example, in the summer, it became available virtual transport card “Troika”. It allows you to pay for travel on any type of Moscow transport using a smartphone — there is no need to carry a plastic card. The virtual “Troika” appears on the screen as a QR code. To pay for travel, you just need to hold your phone up to the turnstile reader or scan the code on the validator.

A QR code for project participants has become available to elderly users in the app “Moscow Longevity”. With it, you can conveniently check in for classes without providing the originals of your passport, SNILS, or Muscovite card.

For user convenience, the “My id” app also added a quick access widget to documents. It allows you to display QR codes of the large family ID, virtual “Troika” and “Moskvyonok” cards on the smartphone’s home screen, so you can use them without opening the app.

In addition, a new theme called “Fairy Tales” has been added to the “My id” app. The document cards feature characters from Russian fairy tales. For example, a Russian passport is adorned with a bogatyr, and the international passport features a traveling frog. Users have several design options available, including “Zoo”, “My City”, and “Modern Theme”. To select a preferred design, you need to click the “More” button and open the “Design” section.
