Active development of educational infrastructure continues in the western part of Moscow. Currently, 20 schools and kindergartens are under construction in the district. The financing of the projects is carried out both from the city budget and with the involvement of private investments. This was stated by the Deputy Mayor of Moscow for Urban Development Policy and Construction. Vladimir Efimov.
“The city’s task is not just to build residential neighborhoods, but immediately create a full-fledged living environment around them. That is why in each district, along with new houses, schools, kindergartens, and educational complexes appear. Currently, 20 such facilities are under active construction in the Western Administrative District. The city will gain an additional 2,300 places for preschoolers and more than 10,000 places for schoolchildren. For instance, the district’s educational infrastructure was supplemented by a school for 1,200 students in the Solntsevo district. The building was constructed at 8a Yuliana Semyonova Street. It will join the capital’s education system,” Vladimir Yefimov said.
A new four-story school with an area of 24,600 square meters has been built next to a residential quarter. The building was constructed according to a custom design and has a well-maintained territory. The school has everything necessary for comfortable learning: in addition to general-purpose and specialized classrooms, it is equipped with laboratory-research complexes, an IT polygon, a robotics classroom, a media library, a choreography hall, and sports halls.
On the territory near the school, playgrounds for active games and general physical training were arranged. A space for events was also provided here, and a barrier-free environment was created for the convenience of people with limited mobility.
Experts from “Moscow Control” monitor compliance with the capital’s construction quality standards.
