At the Olympic complex Luzhniki continue to create comfortable and safe spaces for activities sports and walks. Sergey Sobyanin spoke about this in on his channel in the messenger “Max.”
“A new running route has been laid out around the Grand Sports Arena. Its length is 1.1 kilometers. The track has a professional athletics surface and distance markings every 100 meters,” wrote the Mayor of Moscow.

Now the area around the Grand Sports Arena is accessible only to athletes and pedestrians — training has become safer. For the convenience of visitors, a drinking fountain has been installed in the central square, showers have appeared in the buildings of the Southern and Northern sports centers, as well as in the sports town and in the changing pavilion of football fields No. 7, 8, and 9. In addition, lockers for storing belongings are available in the building of the Southern Sports Center and in pavilion No. 4.
As part of the project “My Sports District” Free running workouts are held on the Luzhnetskaya Embankment.
By the end of the year, a sports ground with outdoor trainers, including for people with disabilities, will open between the Southern Sports Center and the Luzhniki Metro Bridge.
“Next to the festival square, we will create a skate park — its setup has already begun. Along the embankment and in the area of the Southern Sports Center, it is planned to create children’s thematic zones dedicated to running, figure skating, tennis, and basketball,” Sergey Sobyanin added.
