The new treatment facilities were built by specialists urban infrastructure complex in the Troitsky Administrative Okrug of the capital. This was reported by the Deputy Mayor of Moscow for Housing and Communal Services and Improvement Petr Biryukov.

“After the capital’s new territories were annexed, a comprehensive inventory and inspection of the drainage systems was carried out, following which a program was developed for the reconstruction of existing facilities and the construction of new ones. This year, the Shaganino treatment facilities were built, located in the village of the same name in the Krasnopakhorsky district. Once they are put into operation, we will close the old treatment plants that were commissioned at the end of the 1960s,” noted Petr Biryukov.

The throughput capacity of the new treatment facilities is currently up to two thousand cubic meters per day. They have implemented modern engineering solutions, such as biological treatment with nitrogen and phosphorus removal, post-treatment on disc microfilters, and ultraviolet disinfection.

In addition, experts installed a high-capacity gas cleaning system to eliminate unpleasant odors, and implemented efficient automation and remote monitoring systems. Materials and equipment of domestic production were used in the construction.

The commissioning of new treatment facilities guarantees reliable wastewater disposal for existing and prospective consumers.
