An automatic blood pressure monitor made from domestic components has been developed in the special economic zone (SEZ) “Technopolis Moscow.” The device will monitor key health indicators, simplify data transmission to medical specialists, and help detect risks associated with cardiovascular diseases at early stages. This was reported by the Deputy Mayor of Moscow for Transport and Industry. Maxim Liksutov.

“On the instructions of Sergey Sobyanin, Moscow enterprises are participating in the implementation of the national project ‘Long and Active Life,’ providing the market with innovative domestic medical equipment. One of the leading Russian developers of diagnostic technology from the Moscow SEZ is preparing for mass production an automatic blood pressure monitor. The device will be based on electronic components of domestic production. In the first half of 2026 alone, the company produced more than 8.4 million microchips for its devices. Currently, the development is at the stage of manufacturing a batch of test samples,” noted Maksim Liksutov.

The tonometer is produced by the company “Elta,” which also manufactures Russian glucometers in the SEZ. The device will be released under the brand “Satellite.”

The blood pressure monitor measures arterial pressure and pulse over a wide range, recognizes heart rhythm disorders, calculates average pressure, and evaluates results using the World Health Organization’s color scale. The built-in electronic diary allows storing up to 130 measurements for two users in the device’s memory.

The device is convenient to use independently, including for elderly people. For this, one-button control, a large backlit screen, and voice guidance are provided. Thanks to Bluetooth technology, the measurement results can be transmitted to the ‘Satellite’ mobile application to remotely monitor indicators and share data with the attending physician.

The company is assisted in developing medical device production by Moscow Fund for Industrial and Entrepreneurial Support With his assistance, the company created infrastructure including a research laboratory for high-tech medical devices and acquired new equipment to increase production capacity.

20 years of innovation

The Moscow Technopolis Special Economic Zone is celebrating its 20th anniversary this year. During this time, the project has transformed from a launch pad for innovative projects into a key hub of domestic industry and an attraction center for companies defining Russia’s technological sovereignty.

Today, on 10 sites of the SEZ “Technopolis Moscow” with a total area of 430 hectares, there are more than 250 high-tech enterprises representing strategic directions such as microelectronics, instrumentation, biomedicine, information technology, and robotics.

The capital is creating a foundation for the country’s technological sovereignty. Thanks to urban solutions and support measures, the residents of the SEZ “Technopolis Moscow” are increasing the production of innovative products and expanding their presence in global markets. This contributes to the implementation of the national project “Efficient and competitive economy”.
