On October 8, 2026, the Moscow Exchange began trading shares of the exchange-traded mutual fund (ETMF) “First — Artificial Intelligence Fund.” The trading code is AIIQ.
The fund invests in shares of Russian companies. When making investment decisions, the fund manager uses recommendations from a multi-agent expert system based on artificial intelligence (AI). The system was created based on the analysis of the decision-making mechanism of a professional portfolio manager.
The management system “First — Artificial Intelligence Fund” consists of four specialized AI agents. Three AI agents independently analyze separate types of data — information about competitors, fundamental indicators of stocks considered for inclusion in the fund’s portfolio, as well as the news context. The fourth agent, the supervisor or coordinator, aggregates the opinions of the three AI agents, resolves contradictions, and forms the portfolio of the exchange fund. At the same time, AI recommendations are not to be executed until reviewed by the manager.
Boris Blokhin, Senior Managing Director for Sales and Business Development at the Moscow Exchange:
“Artificial intelligence technologies are increasingly penetrating all areas of life and aiding the development of the financial market. Expanding the use of AI in the financial market is one of the strategic goals of the Moscow Exchange. We are actively working on our own AI solutions and also creating conditions for the market participants to expand the use of these technologies. We see high potential for applying AI specifically in collective investment products, which serve as the first-choice instrument for private investors. Today we welcome a new mutual investment fund managed using AI models, meaning investors have a new opportunity to test their strategies and compare their choices with the results ensured by the technologies.”
Andrey Bershadsky, CEO of UK “Pervaya”:
“UK Pervaya is following the path of agentization of operational processes in all business units of a modern asset management company, and the AI fund is one of the projects on the way to creating an “autonomous UK.” We see that often so-called AI funds turn out to be nothing more than algorithmic trading strategies; our goal, however, is to fully utilize the capabilities of autonomous AI and to create a fully autonomous AI fund in the future. For us, this is primarily an experiment necessary to understand the boundaries of AI applicability in the stock market, and we invite all market participants to follow it together with us.”
The management company assesses the performance of the investment strategy implementation of the BPFI “First — Artificial Intelligence Fund” based on compliance Moscow Exchange Index – active total return management, calculated by the Moscow Exchange.
