From November 28 to 30, an international marathon “Moscow — China” will take place in the Moscow video game and animation cluster. Developers of video games, artists, and sound designers from the capital are invited to participate. Applications are accepted until November 5 from teams of several people, said Natalia Sergunina, Deputy Mayor of Moscow.
“The marathon will provide an opportunity for specialists from both countries to communicate, discuss different approaches to game development, and establish professional contacts,” said Natalia Sergunina.
For three days, the teams will develop a prototype of the game on a given theme, and then present the results to the jury and potential investors. Participants from China will join the event online.

The Moscow cluster of video games and animation was opened in November of last year. Residents have at their disposal motion capture and sound recording studios, a high-resolution cinema hall, an educational lecture hall, an eSports arena, and exhibition spaces. Today, 70 companies are already operating here, with more than 250 projects in their portfolio. This is the first phase of the new creative cluster in the Skolkovo Innovation Center; the second phase—the media technology cluster—was recently launched.
