In the Krasnopakhorsky district, specialists of Moscow’s urban economy complex They are completing the construction of a high- and low-pressure gas pipeline. The new facility will become part of the gas supply system for the Troitsky and Novomoskovsky administrative districts.
The polyethylene gas pipeline began to be laid in the summer of 2025. The work is planned to be completed soon.
“Our specialists are implementing a technically complex project. The gas pipeline, nearly 14 kilometers long, consists of sections of different diameters, which requires special precision during welding. In addition, the work is being carried out in challenging terrain, with swampy areas. Nevertheless, construction is proceeding on schedule. At the moment, the project is 90 percent complete,” noted Mikhail Vdovin, General Director of JSC Mosgaz.
The pipeline route crosses various structures, including ravines with depths up to eight meters, roads, and engineering communications, as well as swampy areas. On such sections, the method of horizontal directional drilling is used. A total of 16 closed crossings have been made with a total length of more than 1850 meters. At the same time, the main construction method remains open-cut.
The gas pipeline under construction has been equipped with remotely controlled shut-off devices. After the facility is commissioned, all key parameters of its operation will be monitored around the clock in Mosgaz’s central dispatch center. The segmented gas supply system of the capital allows, if necessary, to precisely shut off the energy supply to the required section in one and a half minutes.
The introduction of new utility networks will significantly increase the supply volumes of natural gas to TiNAO. To create a modern gas transportation system, the city is building a number of key gas pipelines that will provide the developing settlements with energy resources for decades to come.
