On October 6, a regular meeting of the Academic Council of the State University of Management was held, where more than 20 work issues were considered and the results of the student admissions for the 2026/2027 academic year were summarized.
Before starting work, the rector of GUU, Vladimir Stroev, traditionally congratulated the birthday celebrants of the month and thanked them for their efforts for the benefit of the university.
The first item on the agenda was the nomination of Larisa Shuraeva, a lecturer in the specialty “Management Sociology,” for the academic title of associate professor, which the council members unanimously supported by secret ballot.
Vice-Rector Pavel Pavlovsky reported on the opening at the State University of Management of the directorate of the All-Russian competition of final qualifying works “Startup as a diploma,” the initiator and curator of which is our university, and Vice-Rector Dmitry Bryukhanov proposed to approve several additional professional education programs.
The main topic of the meeting was the report by the director of the Department of Digital Admission and Transfer at the university, Vadim Dikikh, on the results of the 2026 admission campaign.
“There were many changes in the admission campaign this year, but the most important is the restriction on admissions based on contracts, which led to increased competition among those applying to several universities. A total of more than 54 thousand applications were submitted by applicants, which is 8 thousand more than last year. Moreover, about 40% of the applicants were from Moscow and almost 17% from the Moscow region. The overall average Unified State Exam (USE) score of those admitted on the budget increased traditionally and amounted to 82.5 points.”
In addition, Vadim Dikikh reported the first changes in the 2027 admissions campaign: limiting the choice of master’s degree programs to five areas, expanding the list of individual achievements, replacing social studies exams with history, and so on.
Vladimir Stroeve drew the attention of those present to the need to update the programs both in content and in title, since the world is changing and it is important to meet the demands of the economy and applicants.
The meeting also approved additional professional education programs for preparation for entrance exams and the Unified State Exam (USE) based on the Pre-University program of the State University of Management, approved discounts for students, and discussed the organization of the upcoming conference for employees and students of the State University of Management.
