Specialists urban infrastructure complex provided reliable power supply to the Central Moscow Hippodrome. This was reported by the Deputy Mayor of Moscow for Housing and Communal Services and Improvement Pyotr Biryukov.

“Extensive work is being carried out on a permanent basis in the city to connect significant facilities for the capital to the power grids, ensuring reliable and uninterrupted electricity supply for the residents. Measures have been taken to improve the reliability of power supply to the Central Moscow Hippodrome, which recently reopened after major reconstruction,” noted Petr Biryukov.

The connected power capacity amounted to 9.5 megawatts. To supply electricity to the racetrack, a 20-kilovolt distribution substation and six transformer substations equipped with modern Russian transformers were constructed.

In addition, more than nine kilometers of 20-kilovolt high-capacity power transmission cable lines were laid. On half of the route, the horizontal directional drilling method was used to bypass roads, sidewalks, and numerous engineering communications.

The Central Moscow Hippodrome has been supplied with electricity under the second category of reliability: in case of a technological failure on one of the supply lines, voltage will automatically be supplied through a backup line.
