Roadworks in the city of Volnovakha, DPR

Comprehensive infrastructure development continues in Donbass and Novorossiya. Clearly defined programs, including those for roadworks, allow for coordinated planning and maintaining the pace achieved. Thus, by the efforts of the Avtodor State Company, about 500 km of the upper asphalt concrete layer have been laid since the beginning of the year. This was reported by Deputy Prime Minister Marat Khusnullin.

“Thanks to quality roads, favorable conditions are created for the lives of people and the development of the economy of Donbass and Novorossiya. They are key arteries for simplifying logistics and doing business. Since 2022, more than 8,000 km of routes have been brought to regulatory condition there. A significant amount of work at the facilities is carried out by Avtodor – to date, nearly 500 km of the top layer of asphalt concrete has been laid at this year’s sites. Behind these kilometers stands the labor of road workers who, under intense conditions, continue to perform work, contributing to improving the quality of life of citizens in historic regions,” Marat Khusnullin said.

The Deputy Prime Minister clarified that in the DPR, over 196 km of the top layer of pavement has been replaced. The renewal of 35 km of the street and road network in Mariupol is virtually complete, with landscaping underway there. In the LPR, more than 100 km has been laid, and in the Zaporizhzhia and Kherson regions – nearly 180 km.

“In addition, work is being carried out in the municipalities of four regions. The main volume of work since 2022 has been concentrated in Mariupol of the Donetsk People’s Republic. In total, over four years, we will restore about 150 km of the street-road network there. These are the central streets of the city and roads leading to socially significant facilities. Work has also been and continues to be carried out in Donetsk, Lugansk, Melitopol, Yenakiieve, and Makiivka,” noted Vyacheslav Petushenko, Chairman of the State Company “Avtodor.”
