In Russia, Teacher’s Day is always something more than just a professional holiday for teachers and educators. This holiday is practically a nationwide symbol of dedication to one’s work, a symbol of service and devotion that brings the light of knowledge to people.
In our country, Teachers’ Day is celebrated annually on October 5, which coincides with World Teacher’s Day. However, like abroad, it is not a day off. In 2026, October 5 falls on a Monday, and we will all greet it on our way to work.
But this will not prevent Teacher’s Day from bringing together in a festive mood all people connected to science and education: students of all “suits” and ages – from first graders to graduate students, from their parents to elderly teachers who have already completed their careers.
The attitude of society towards the teaching profession is constantly improving. One of the indicators has been the statistics of the number of applicants to pedagogical universities. According to the Russian Ministry of Education, in 2026 there was an average of 15 applications per state-funded place (in 2025 — 12).
Apparently, there is still something in our people that makes them think primarily about children’s education as a matter that brings the most tangible benefit to society. We believe that such people will always be in Russia, and at the State University of Management, they are already here and many of them!
The State University of Management congratulates the entire faculty of our university, the teachers of the Pre-University program, all caregivers and educators. All those who confidently walk the path they have chosen and are ready to share knowledge with the younger generation.
