Project “Youth of Moscow” is opening recruitment for a folk dance group and a theatrical workshop. The initiative is timed to coincide with the Year of Unity of the Peoples of Russia.
“We are creating a space where everyone can find their own direction and, together with a team of like-minded people, create vibrant projects regardless of experience and training,” noted Margarita Savinkina, project manager of “Youth of Moscow.”
Dance group
Participate in selection Anyone aged 14 to 35, regardless of their level of experience, can join the folk dance group. The application form requires you to tell about yourself and your dance experience.
Participants will be selected by a professional choreographer-director of folk dances. The results will be announced by October 9. Those who successfully pass the selection will practice weekly at the creative residence “Youth of Moscow. Homeland,” prepare performances in the folk style, perform at city venues, and also participate in concerts and festivals.
Theater Workshop
The theater workshop also invites young people aged 14 to 35 with any level of training. To apply application Participants can be individuals, duets, or already formed troupes. The application form requires a description of yourself, your theatrical experience, and performances.
The selection will be conducted by an expert jury. The program will include a short training session and a performance of acts. Participants will be able to recite a poem, fable, or prose, sing, play a musical instrument, or demonstrate another skill. It is recommended to come in black sportswear.
The results will be announced by October 11. The members of the formed team will have weekly classes and special masterclasses from invited teachers. Throughout the season, they will prepare a theatrical production, which will then be shown at the creative residence “Youth of Moscow. Homeland.”
“Opportunities for Youth 3.0” is a modern system of measures aimed at creating conditions for the self-realization of young people.
