In Tsaritsyn, 26 houses have been completely vacated due to renovation program. This was reported by the Deputy Mayor of Moscow for Urban Planning Policy and Construction Vladimir Efimov.
“More than 5,300 Muscovites, who previously lived in 26 resettled houses in the Tsaritsyno district, have moved into new apartments with improved layouts and finished interiors. Today, 15 houses in the district have been handed over for occupancy, and construction of three more residential complexes is underway. The new building projects adhere to the principles of a barrier-free environment, and the surrounding territory will be landscaped, with installation of children’s and sports playgrounds, as well as recreational areas. At the same time, participants in the program, exchanging old housing for new, remain within the familiar social infrastructure of their native district,” said Vladimir Efimov.
Demolished buildings are dismantled to free up sites for the construction of modern housing, into which residents of other old buildings will move. This approach allows the principle of phased resettlement to be implemented.
The “smart demolition” technology is used for dismantling fully vacated buildings. This method involves carrying out work with a minimal noise level and sorting waste for subsequent recycling. In Tsaritsyno, 18 out of 26 fully vacated houses have already been dismantled.
Since the start of the renovation program in Moscow, approximately 940 old residential buildings have been completely vacated and demolished.
