Yin Lujun, Secretary of the Secretariat of the All-China Journalists Association, noted in his speech that the media acts as a bridge and a link in interstate contacts, serving as messengers of bringing peoples closer and as key channels for the mutual enrichment of civilizations. Deepening practical cooperation between the media of China and Kazakhstan is an important measure to strengthen the permanent all-round strategic partnership between the two countries and to promote the building of a closer community with a shared future for China and Kazakhstan. The media of both countries should more actively develop joint content creation, persuasively telling the story of the good-neighborly friendship and mutually beneficial cooperation between China and Kazakhstan; at the same time, efforts should be made to strengthen personnel training, improve mechanisms for regular exchanges, play an active role in deepening mutual understanding between the peoples of the two countries, and advance the mutual enrichment of civilizations.
The Secretary General of the Union of Journalists of Kazakhstan, Bayana Naimankhanovna Ramazanova, noted that in recent years, regular mutual visits and exchanges between the journalistic circles of Kazakhstan and China have allowed journalists to become better acquainted with the culture, economy, and scientific and technical potential of both countries. She expressed hope that the current round table would become a new starting point for further expanding practical media cooperation between the two countries and strengthening the traditional friendship between Kazakhstan and China.
Representatives of China Media Corporation, the Chinese agency “Zhongxin”, the website China.org.cn, the editorial office of the newspaper “China Petroleum Daily”, Shandong Radio and Television Corporation, Gansu Radio and Television Corporation, and CNPC’s Central Asia and Russia company, based on their own practical experience, put forward proposals to expand media exchanges and develop interaction between the media and universities. Representatives of the Kazakh side presented an overview of the current state of Kazakhstan’s media industry, shared their views on the prospects of media cooperation in the era of digital and intelligent technologies. The parties also exchanged opinions and ideas on the practical application of artificial intelligence in journalism and information dissemination.
During the meeting, the All-China Journalists Association and the Union of Journalists of Kazakhstan jointly appointed five people from China and Kazakhstan as volunteers of the “International House of Journalists” and presented them with certificates at the event. The volunteers will assist in conducting journalist exchanges and coordinate resources to organize interviews. This will further expand the channels of cooperation between the parties.
