A network of coworking centers for non-profit organizations (NPOs) is opening a new season of intensive communication training “People decide”. This is a key platform for the development of employees and leaders of the capital’s NGOs since 2023.
“Over the past three seasons, more than two thousand specialists from Moscow NGOs have participated in the intensive program. Here, employees and leaders not only acquire new knowledge but also find like-minded people, launch projects together, and support each other. This year, the season will start on October 1 with an offsite strategic session — it will set the direction for further work and help participants build communication strategies,” she said
Ekaterina Dragunova, chairman of the Moscow Committee for Public Relations and Youth Policy.
Tatiana Burmistrova will be the speaker — co-founder and chair of the board of the “Towards Change” project support fund, author and instructor of the course “Social Finance and Fundraising” at the Institute of Education of the National Research University Higher School of Economics. The “People Decide” intensive is not only a platform for acquiring new knowledge but also a space for professional networking. Connections made here often grow into long-term collaborations. For example, at one of the meetings, Valentina Krasnova, founder and executive director of the charity fund “Together We Can Do Everything,” and Maria Makeeva, head of the refugee aid headquarters, identified common interests and organized a joint project for teenagers called “About Yourself.” In it, youngsters from new regions receive tutoring assistance both in-person and online, as well as participate in the production of thematic plays.
The last season’s program included informal meetings, business breakfasts, interactive and narrative games, excursions, creative workshops, as well as a special course for NGO leaders and a series of classes on visual communications. Participants visited the homeless animal shelter “Yuna” and the Moscow Toy Manufactury museum, learned first aid skills at the “Russian Red Cross” public organization, explored merchandise production, worked with 3D pens and neural networks for generating visual content. These meetings enable building cooperation not only among NGOs but also with business, art, science, and government, as well as transferring the acquired experience to their own projects.
In addition to the intensive course, the network of nonprofit coworking centers provides nonprofit organizations with infrastructure for work and access to free services. It includes 13 venues across all districts of the capital — here you can book event spaces for free, use printing services, and also receive consultation, organizational, and informational support.
