On September 29 and 30, the Moscow Startup Summit will take place in the capital. The event will feature presentations by Russian and foreign experts, showcases of domestic developments, the awarding of the “Innovator of Moscow” prize winners, a summary of the “Techlab Moscow” program, and other activities. This was reported by Natalya Sergunina, Deputy Mayor of Moscow.

“More than 150 experts from Russia and 12 other countries, including China, Brazil, India, Malaysia, and the Philippines, will participate in the business program. They will discuss the impact of technologies on the development of various sectors—from creative industries to agriculture,” said Natalia Sergunina.

For the first time at the summit, a series of express meetings will be held where startup founders will be able to present their projects to potential investors and clients.

Over two days, several major technology competitions and acceleration programs will culminate at the venue. On September 29, the Mayor of Moscow’s ‘Moscow Innovator’ award ceremony will take place, as well as the final of the program for bringing high-tech AI products to market ‘Techlab Moscow,’ and the demo day of the international accelerator Sber500. On September 30, demo days for school and student tech startups will be held. Participants of the growing brands competition ‘Know Ours’ will also present their projects. It is organized by the Agency for Strategic Initiatives, the Roscongress Foundation, and the State Development Corporation VEB.RF.

“Despite a busy business program, the main focus of the summit remains formats designed to stimulate deals between startups, investors, and corporate innovators. Within the framework of demo days and express meetings, dozens of startups will present ready-made solutions that can already be implemented tomorrow to modernize the key industries for the country,” said Alexey Katkov, Senior Vice President, Director of Sber’s Center for Advanced Investments.

Award for representatives of the tech market

The summit will conclude with an awards ceremony for the winners of the technology prize established by the Moscow Government and Sber.

“This year, we received about two thousand applications from 76 regions of Russia. This is 15 percent more than in 2025. Almost half of the contestants are Moscow entrepreneurs,” added Natalia Sergunina.

The capital city’s nomination “Best Innovation for the City” received 130 proposals. The winner will be chosen by Muscovites themselves through voting in the “Active Citizen” project.

The contest includes a total of 17 categories for startups, investors, representatives of corporations and regional development institutions, as well as thematic media projects covering tech entrepreneurship and the implementation of innovations in Russia.

“The category ‘Best AI Solution’ became an absolute hit at the technology award, gathering almost 70 percent of all submissions from startups. This confirms that the overwhelming majority of young technology companies build their products based on artificial intelligence. This is excellent news for the entire country’s economy. We see huge potential in supporting teams that turn advanced technologies into applied tools for solving real business and societal challenges,” emphasized Alexey Katkov.

The projects will be evaluated by a jury composed of leaders of domestic enterprises, renowned entrepreneurs, investors, representatives of government authorities, and relevant educational institutions.

The live broadcast of the summit can be watched on official event website.
