The meeting reviewed the key results of the work of the government commission on the elimination of the consequences of the tanker crashes of “Volgoneft-212” and “Volgoneft-239”.

The pumping of fuel oil from the sunken parts of the vessels has been completed. The work was confirmed by a specially formed commission, which included representatives of Rospotrebnadzor, the Ministry of Emergency Situations, and the Maritime Rescue Service. The lifting of the sunken fragments of the tankers will be carried out by authorized services and agencies in the normal course of operations.

The water area and coastline along the affected coast of the Krasnodar Territory, Crimea, and Sevastopol have been cleaned. More than 185 thousand tons of contaminated sand and soil have been disposed of and sold.

Clean sand has been deposited on the damaged beaches of Anapa. In the 2026 season, 115 beaches received permit documents from Rospotrebnadzor.

“I express my gratitude to everyone who worked and served directly in the emergency zone. Through the efforts of rescue services, federal agencies, regions, and scientific organizations, the environmental consequences and risks were eliminated. I especially note the contribution of volunteers. Their compassion, dedication, and readiness to act in difficult conditions became an important part of the overall result,” noted Deputy Prime Minister Vitaly Savelyev.

Further work on eliminating the consequences of the tanker crashes of “Volgoneft-212” and “Volgoneft-239” will be carried out within the powers of the ministries and agencies involved in the emergency response.
