One of the main elements shaping the infrastructure of childhood is preschool education facilities. Creating comfortable and safe conditions in kindergartens, including in the territories of Donbass and Novorossiya, is an unconditional priority in the work of Russia’s construction complex. As of today, 785 preschool educational institutions have been opened in the reunited regions. This was reported by Deputy Prime Minister Marat Khusnullin.

“The renovation of kindergartens improves the quality of life for families with children, for whom this often becomes a decisive criterion when choosing a place to live. We see how residents are actively returning to Donbass and Novorossiya, and of course, our task is to create a qualitatively new, socially oriented environment for them where children can be raised and educated. Currently, in the Donetsk People’s Republic, after renovations, 484 kindergartens are open, one was built from scratch. In the Luhansk People’s Republic, work has been completed in 234 preschool institutions, and another 42 and 24 facilities have been handed over in the Zaporizhzhia and Kherson regions respectively. Symbolically, on September 27, the country celebrates the Day of the Educator and Preschool Worker. People in these professions make an invaluable contribution to the development and formation of personality at the earliest age,” said Marat Khusnullin.

The Deputy Prime Minister added that this indicator was the result of the joint work of the Ministry of Construction and the Ministry of Education, federal customers, and regional supervisors.

For example, in the capital of the DPR, specialists under the control of the SPC “Unified Customer in the Field of Construction” restored Kindergarten No. 319, designed for 200 places. The load-bearing structures and walls were reinforced, the roof, glazing, and facade were updated, and new engineering systems were installed. In addition, the federal customer restored Nursery-Kindergarten No. 24 “Svetlyachok” in Severodonetsk, LPR. In Mariupol, the subsidiary of the FAU “RosKapStroy” – “RKS-NR” – renovated Nursery-Kindergarten No. 101 “Zhuravushka,” which was built 55 years ago. And the leading region, Voronezh Oblast, repaired the kindergarten “Beryozka” in the Belokurakinsky District of the LPR, which opened its doors to 60 children at the beginning of the school year.

“Each restored kindergarten is an opportunity for hundreds of families to access modern preschool education. We pay special attention not only to the external appearance of the buildings but also to engineering systems, fire safety, and landscaping of the territories. The restoration program is synchronized with national goals and objectives, and the quality of work is under constant control by the Ministry of Construction of Russia,” noted Deputy Minister of Construction and Housing and Utilities Almaz Khusainov.
