In the Filevsky Park district, construction and reconstruction of Novo-Zavodskaya Street, as well as a section of Beregovoy Drive, continue. This was reported by the Deputy Mayor of Moscow for Urban Development Policy and Construction. Vladimir Efimov.
“Work is currently actively underway in the capital to form a new route from Shelepikhinskoye Highway to the North-Western chord. It will pass through the Western and North-Western districts and connect two landmark transportation infrastructure objects — the Academician Korolyov Bridge and the sail-shaped bridge being constructed at the alignment of Novozavodskaya Street. In total, about 1.7 kilometers of roads will be built and reconstructed, namely sections of Novozavodskaya Street and Beregovoy Proezd. Earthworks and cable laying are ongoing at the site. For the installation of engineering networks, builders are using microtunneling technology,” said Vladimir Yefimov.
Microtunneling allows laying communications without trench excavation along the entire length of the site. For this, a tunneling complex consisting of a microshield and a jack station is used. The equipment is placed in the starting pit at the depth of the future pipeline, and a receiving pit is arranged at the exit point. This method helps to shorten construction and installation times.
“At the same time, construction of an adjacent facility is underway in the Beregovoy Proezd section — specialists are building a bridge on the extension of the Akademik Korolev Bridge. The artificial structure is more than half complete, and currently waterproofing work on the span is being carried out,” added the head of the Department of Construction of Transport and Engineering Infrastructure of the city of Moscow.
Earlier, Sergey Sobyanin reported that Akademik Cherenkov Street in Troitsk extended up to Kaluzhskoye Highway.
