Two more routes of the “Moscow — Region” project will start operating on September 26. Buses on route No. 1568 will connect the capital with a large residential complex in the Krasnogorsk urban district, while route No. 1823 will connect to the village of Chelobityevo in the Mytishchi urban district. This was announced by the Deputy Mayor of Moscow for Transport and Industry. Maxim Liksutov.

“By order of Sergey Sobyanin, together with the Government of the Moscow Region, we are launching bus routes that allow residents of the country’s largest agglomeration to travel comfortably between two regions. As part of the ‘Moscow — Region’ project, from September 26 we will launch two more routes connecting settlements in the Krasnogorsk and Mytishchi urban districts with the nearest metro stations and Moscow Central Diameters. For a smooth transition to the new ticketing system on buses of the regional carrier, on the last day of their routes’ operation, as well as during the first days of the replacement routes operated by Moscow transport, our staff will be on duty. They will inform passengers about the changes and answer questions,” said Maxim Liksutov.

New small and medium class buses

New buses of Russian production will be operating on routes No. 1568 and 1823. Boarding and alighting will occur through all doors. The vehicles are low-floor, with wide standing areas, climate control systems, media panels, and USB ports for charging gadgets. The interiors feature an increased number of soft seats with seat belts.

Small-class buses will operate on route No. 1823. Such vehicles are suitable for routes with low passenger traffic and narrow streets within settlements. Their compact size and good maneuverability allow the buses to navigate difficult sections of roads. There is a folding ramp for boarding and alighting of passengers with limited mobility. In total, the capital has signed a contract for the supply of 115 small-class buses. Besides the routes of the “Moscow — Region” project, they will also serve some city routes in the Troitsky and Novomoskovsky administrative districts.

On route No. 1568, ‘Sitimax-9’ mid-class buses will be in operation. They are suitable for streets where large vehicles have difficulty passing or turning. The capacity is up to 77 passengers, and the low-floor area covers 10 square meters. Two wide doors speed up boarding and disembarking. Seats and handrails are mounted on the side of the body and do not hinder movement inside the cabin, and the accumulation platform includes spaces for passengers with limited mobility.

Fare prices and benefits

The fare on both routes will be fixed. According to Troika card A trip on route No. 1823 will cost 71 rubles, and on No. 1568 — 90 rubles. When paying by bank card — 76 and 95 rubles respectively. The card needs to be scanned only upon entry.

With these, it is possible to save up to 60 percent annually on trips and transfer freely across all public transport in Moscow. For students holding a Moscow resident card, “Unified” passes for the “Suburban” zone are available for 30 and 90 days.

Such a benefit on all adjacent routes of the capital also applies to categories of citizens of the Moscow region under the age of 60 who are entitled to free travel on regional routes. If the social card of the resident of the Moscow region does not work on the bus, it is necessary to contact the center for its recoding. My Documents» in the territory of the region.

Discounts for transfers to the metro and other routes when paying for single trips with the “Troika” card under the “Wallet” tariff or with a bank card are not provided. It is also worth noting that the “Strelka” card is not accepted on buses of the “Moscow — region” project.

The stickers are placed near the driver’s cabin and above the area for strollers, bicycles, and large luggage in the middle of the cabin.

Project “Moscow — region”

By agreement between the governments of Moscow and the Moscow Region, more than 50 existing suburban routes in the western, northwestern, northern, and northeastern directions are planned to be integrated into the Moscow transport system this year. More than half of them have already been launched. In the future, the project is expected to cover at least one-third of the existing suburban surface public transport routes.

They will implement the standards familiar to Muscovites for Moscow transport: convenient and predictable intervals of movement, a comfortable schedule, modern rolling stock, and work by professional drivers.

For operation on the routes, 600 buses of various capacity classes were purchased: medium, large, and large suburban. They will be deployed both on new routes planned to open this year and on the routes of the “Moscow — region” project launched last year.

The expansion of the route network will enhance travel comfort and give an additional boost to the development of the Moscow region’s transport infrastructure. It is planned to install modern bus shelters and arrange dedicated lanes. In addition, new transport hubs will be built and existing ones reconstructed. This will allow for more active use of various types of urban transport for daily trips from the Moscow region to Moscow and back. The rolling stock freed up from the regional carrier will be directed to routes passing through the territory of the Moscow region to the stations of the Moscow Central Diameters.

In accordance with the goals of the national project “Infrastructure for Life” In Moscow, great attention is paid to the modernization of social and communal infrastructure, including increasing the number of convenient city transport routes and updating the rolling stock. In addition, the capital has begun developing the Central Transport Hub. It will become a unified circuit with predictable suburban rail transport for more than 30 million residents of 11 regions of Russia.
