Deputy Prime Minister Dmitry Patrushev held a meeting dedicated to the development of Russian agricultural exports. It was attended by the heads of the Ministry of Agriculture, the Ministry of Transport, the Ministry of Economic Development, JSC “Russian Railways,” and other specialized organizations, as well as the leadership of Russian regions, industry unions, and business representatives.
The Deputy Prime Minister reported that in order to maintain continuous export of products, the Russian Government is taking various support measures. Among them, about 10 billion rubles have been allocated to subsidize railway transportation of agricultural products from regions with traditionally high harvest volumes. In addition, necessary decisions have been developed in the field of customs and tariff regulation. For example, the payment of export duties on grain has been suspended until the end of the year, and the maximum duty rate on vegetable oil and meal has been fixed at the August 2026 level.
“The harvesting of the new crop is gradually entering its final phase. Currently, the yields are higher than last year’s levels for both cereals and oilseeds. Therefore, it is important to prevent overstocking and ensure a steady supply of products both to the domestic market and for export. Efficient organization of processes using all logistical capabilities is necessary,” noted Dmitry Patrushev.
The Deputy Prime Minister emphasized that it is important to efficiently utilize transport infrastructure and clearly organize processes at all stages of cargo shipment. The Ministry of Transport and the Ministry of Agriculture have been tasked with organizing work in this area effectively and keeping the issue under constant supervision.
