On September 26, the ecological educational festival “Eco-Moscow” will take place in the Losiny Ostrov National Park. It is organized by the city authorities Department of Natural Resources and Environmental Protection, Sokolniki Park of Culture and Leisure and partners.

Practice, games, and workshops

The main site of the festival will be located in a clearing next to the ecological and educational center (EEC) “Russian Life.” From 13:00 to 19:00, a mobile exhibition “Golden Turtle” will be held here, showcasing wildlife photographs.

At 13:30, the wellness gymnastics “Breath of the Forest” will begin, and at 14:00, the ecological games zone will open.

Experts in ecology and natural resource management will conduct master classes for children and adults. Participants will be able to take part in the “Trees Speak” quest, observe nature through binoculars, and test their knowledge of the national park’s animals during a quiz. Here, it will also be possible to make 3D stickers, felt appliqués, and postcards. The “Protected Playground” area will also open for children and adults.

Excursions and lectures

From 15:00 to 16:00, guided tours will be held for guests. A total of six groups of 20 people each will be formed. Participants will be offered three routes.

The “Autumn Forest” excursion will tell about seasonal changes in nature. The “Preparing for a Hike” route will be dedicated to hiking as a way of self-discovery. During the “Such a Familiar Forest” excursion, conducted by specialists from the Department of Ecological Education and Awareness, guests will learn about the flora, fauna, and history of the Losiny Ostrov National Park.

Interactive lectures will take place on stage every 20 minutes. Listeners will learn about citizen science in a big city, the principles of sustainable development, and the connection between global environmental issues and everyday life. In addition, guests will be told about the eco-calculator.

Classical music

From 16:30 to 18:00, participants of the international project “Musical Expedition,” led by Honored Artist of Russia and cellist Boris Andrianov, will perform on stage. The classical music concert will take place outdoors.
