The State Transport Leasing Company (GTLK) has leased 65 new domestically produced buses to operate on routes in the Belgorod, Moscow, Sverdlovsk, and Smolensk regions. The vehicles were supplied on preferential leasing terms under the Ministry of Industry and Trade’s program and the national project “Infrastructure for Life.” This was reported by Deputy Prime Minister Marat Khusnullin.

“The development of public transport determines the comfort of trips and, in general, the quality of life for millions of people. To accomplish this task set by the President, within the framework of the national project ‘Infrastructure for Life’, we use various support mechanisms – from direct subsidies and infrastructure loans to preferential leasing. The GTLK program is also actively working. 65 new domestically produced buses have been sent to four regions: Belgorod, Moscow, Sverdlovsk, and Smolensk regions. Thanks to the new buses, trips are becoming more comfortable, safer, and more predictable. We continue to ramp up efforts so that public transport in cities and villages meets modern requirements,” said Marat Khusnullin.

The preferential leasing mechanism through GTLK is used within the framework of federal support under the Ministry of Transport. Among the supplied vehicles are PAZ, Volgabus, GAZ, LiAZ, and SimAZ buses. In particular, 33 buses were sent to the Moscow region, 20 to the Belgorod region, 7 buses arrived in the Smolensk region, and 5 in the Sverdlovsk region.

The progress on updating public transport was previously reported to Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin by the Deputy Prime Minister at an operational meeting. Currently, about 5,000 vehicles are renewed annually across the country. In total, around 27,000 vehicles are planned to be delivered to the regions from 2026 to 2030.

By 2030, it is planned to increase the share of public transport fleet in agglomerations and cities with a service life not exceeding the standard to 85%.
