New programs, attracting students from India, and training veterans of the special military operation – what the State University of Management and the university’s new partners agreed upon.
On September 16, Rector Vladimir Stroev signed cooperation agreements with the Association of Investors and Public-Private Partnership “Invelion” and the “Business Competence Center”.
The main areas of joint work will be retraining programs for veterans of the SVO and assistance in their adaptation, work with students from India, and the development of new modern educational programs.
“There are quite a lot of international students studying at GUU, and we hold our own contests and tournaments to select the most talented future managers. Speaking of regions, students from Vietnam, Africa, Asia, and traditionally, the CIS lead,” noted Vladimir Stroev.
“We see great interest from Indian students in Russian education. Mostly, these are legal specializations and ‘state and municipal administration.’ We were in Kolkata, communicating with representatives of universities and enterprises, and they really need this. It is logical that with such a request we came precisely to your university,” admitted Pavel Sigal, president of Invelion.
The rector spoke about the successful experience of the joint program with the A.I. Meshcheryakov Family Center for training veterans of the Special Military Operation, whose first graduates received certificates this year. The parties separately emphasized the need to improve the financial literacy of the fighters, as they often fall prey to fraudsters.
“Our university is closely engaged with issues of increasing the financial security of the population: we have established a Center that coordinates the International Movement for Financial Security, we have been actively participating for several years in organizing the International Financial Security Olympiad as a member of the International Network Institute in the field of AML/CFT, etc. Our lecturers have given lectures on this topic for the wards of the A.I. Meshcheryakov Center. We are confident that this knowledge is one of the most important today,” said Vladimir Stroev.
Along with the delegation, Invelion was joined by Ekaterina Gonchar, General Director of LLC Center for Business Competencies, with whom the rector of the State University of Management also signed a cooperation agreement in the scientific and educational sphere. In particular, the organizations agreed on the implementation of joint professional development programs for participants in the Special Military Operation, the development of business education, and the organization of accelerators for scientific projects.
