Beijing, September 17 /Xinhua/ — Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi held a meeting on Thursday in Beijing with the Chairman of the Indonesian National Economic Council, Luhut Binsar Pandjaitan.
Wan Yi, who is also a member of the Political Bureau of the CPC Central Committee, noted that under the strategic leadership of the heads of both states, the China-Indonesia comprehensive strategic partnership relations continue to deepen.
The Chinese Foreign Minister stated China’s readiness, together with Indonesia, to promote cohesion and self-empowerment among Global South countries.
As Wang Yi pointed out, the two countries should strengthen the alignment of their development strategies, promote the transformation and improvement of the quality of bilateral cooperation. He added that China is ready to assist Indonesia in strengthening its self-development capacity and accelerating the modernization process.
Luhut Binsar Pandjaitan, for his part, stated that Indonesia places great importance on its relations with China and intends to work together with the PRC to convert the comprehensive strategic partnership into new practical cooperation achievements. –0–
