Denis Manturov met with the governor of Khabarovsk Krai, Dmitry Demeshin.

First Deputy Prime Minister Denis Manturov held a meeting in Moscow with the Governor of the Khabarovsk Territory Dmitry Demeshin. The main topics of the meeting were support for civil shipbuilding and ship repair, as well as the development of civil drone production.

The government of Khabarovsk Krai is completing the preparation of a comprehensive state program “Development of Shipping in the Amur Inland Waterways Basin.” The core element of the program is the shipbuilding and ship repair center based at the Khabarovsk Shipbuilding Plant, where the construction of civilian vessels is currently underway. Denis Manturov and Dmitry Demeshin discussed the possibility of including the enterprise in the program of preferential leasing of civilian water transport vessels, as well as financing within the framework of the federal Industrial Development Fund’s “Ship Leasing” program.

Special attention at the meeting was given to the issue of the former ship repair plant “Anchor.” The governor spoke about plans for renovating the enterprise in Sovetskaya Gavan Bay using the preferential regime of the advanced development territory, as well as the formation of a ship repair cluster based on the enterprise with the prospect of developing shipbuilding. During the meeting, the need to identify an industrial partner who will ensure the utilization of capacities and take on commitments for production development was noted.

Another issue on the agenda is the development of civilian drone production. Enterprises operating in the region successfully manufacture UAVs using domestic microelectronic components. High-tech lines for the production of battery modules and electronic boards have been launched. Certain achievements have been made in organizing autonomous flight, which is especially relevant in the Far East. A practical base has been formed for the implementation of UAVs for civilian purposes: supporting geological exploration work, application in forestry and agriculture, the fuel and energy complex, and control and supervisory activities. Test flights have been conducted for delivering social and commercial cargo to remote northern areas of the region. To further develop the industry, work is underway to establish a scientific and production center for UAVs in the region. The project involves integrating the region’s leading specialized enterprises and organizations into a single cooperative chain with the creation of a shared-use center.
