Registration has opened in the capital for the professional mastery championship “Moscow Professionals,” where participants will demonstrate practical skills in
various competencies. Students of colleges as well as schoolchildren in two age categories can join the competitions: from 11 to 13 years old and from 14 and older.
The competitions will be held from December 7 to February 7, 2027, in more than 300 disciplines — ranging from industrial climbing and information security to motion design and electrical installation. Applications are accepted until December 20 inclusive from the participants themselves, their expert mentors, or representatives of educational institutions. “The championship competitions will be organized in the workshops and laboratories of Moscow colleges, where the most modern equipment meeting industry standards is installed. The contest tasks are updated annually and developed based on real production challenges, allowing participants to demonstrate their skills in conditions close to the workplace. As a result of the championship, winners and prize-winners will receive certificates for internships at partner companies, as well as invitations to themed master classes and tours of city enterprises. In addition, the best participants will join the team representing the capital in interregional and federal competitions of this year’s championship cycle,” the agency’s press service said.
The championship will take place at the venues of 39 capital colleges. One of them will be the practical training center for mechanical engineering of the Moscow State Educational Complex. Here, competitions will be held in competencies in the field of production and engineering technologies, including specialties such as “operator-technician of warehouse robots (AGV/AMR)”, “polymechanics and automation”, and “work on universal lathes.”
Up to two candidates from a single educational organization can participate within each competency. Detailed competition rules are published on the official championship website.
Preparation for the championship
Participants will be able to prepare in advance for the championship at the capital’s colleges. For schoolchildren, there is a soft start into the profession. In master classes, training sessions, and interactive activities, the kids will get acquainted with the equipment necessary for the chosen competency and will master basic professional skills.
Students will prepare at a more advanced level. They will practice skills in conditions as close as possible to competitive ones: solving problems within a limited time and receiving evaluations from current masters of leading companies in the country.
“Moscow Professionals” is the regional stage of the all-Russian championship movement for professional skills. More than 37 thousand schoolchildren and college students participate in it every year. The organizer is Moscow Center for the Development of Vocational Education, the federal operator — Institute for the Development of Vocational Education.
