Specialists urban infrastructure complex the main work on updating the road markings in the capital has been completed. This was reported by the Deputy Mayor of Moscow for Housing and Communal Services and Improvement Petr Biryukov.
“First of all, we updated the road markings on key highways and streets, near preschools and educational institutions, healthcare facilities, major transport hubs, parks, theaters, and cinemas. The work was carried out mainly at night with partial traffic restrictions to avoid causing difficulties on the roads,” noted Petr Biryukov.
The new road markings are currently being applied to sections of roads where the asphalt was previously replaced.
Durable plastic materials are used for the work — cold two-component plastic and thermoplastic. The former is suitable for elements with complex configurations and marking parking spaces. The latter is used for applying longitudinal lines that separate traffic flows and transverse stripes.
Highly visible markings help organize traffic properly and enhance the safety of drivers and pedestrians.
