Deputy Prime Minister Vitaly Savelyev spoke at the educational marathon of the Russian society “Znanie.” The event took place within the framework of the International Youth Festival in Yekaterinburg.

The core of the lecture was advanced transport technologies and high-tech projects being implemented in Russia. Special attention was paid to artificial intelligence and digitalization. Their implementation ensures more efficient traffic management and increases transportation safety.

One of the central topics was the creation of a network of high-speed railways in Russia. The first project – HSR Moscow – Saint Petersburg – is expected to become the foundation for the further development of high-speed transportation in the country.

The launch of service between Moscow and Saint Petersburg is planned for 2028. Travel time will be reduced to 2 hours and 15 minutes. Domestic infrastructure and rolling stock are being created for the project, and extensive industrial cooperation is being formed.

“The scale of the project is unique. Many of the technical solutions embedded in it for the construction of transport infrastructure have not been previously used in our country,” noted Vitaly Savelyev.

The Deputy Prime Minister spoke about the development of unmanned aviation. Today, Russia is among the leaders in establishing a regulatory and legal framework for this area. Unmanned technologies are also being consistently implemented in automotive, railway, and maritime transport.

Another strategic direction, Vitaly Savelyev named the development of infrastructure for the five main international transport corridors passing through the territory of our country: the North-South ITC, the Azov-Black Sea, the northwestern and eastern directions, as well as the Trans-Arctic transport corridor. They provide stable connections of Russia with friendly countries, including in the Asia-Pacific region.

Addressing the festival participants, Vitaly Saveliev emphasized the role of young specialists in the implementation of these projects.

“All the listed projects and technologies provide great opportunities for the realization of intellectual potential. I will be sincerely glad if any of you connect your life with the transport industry and become part of a large professional team of transport workers,” said the Deputy Prime Minister.
