Moscow production center, subordinate to the capital’s Department of Culture, has started accepting applications for the 22nd season of the project «Playlist Mosproducer | Music in the Parks». Performers from all over the world can submit up to two original compositions until September 27 inclusive.
The winners’ tracks will be heard in more than 15 parks across Russia for five months: from December 1, 2026, to April 30, 2027. Applications can be submitted on the official website project.
“Over 10 years, we have received more than 18 thousand applications from 31 countries, and over 1,100 performers have become winners. The project introduces new names of contemporary authors to a broad audience, who may further continue cooperation with Mosproducer and participate in other musical projects,” noted the Minister of the Moscow Government, head of the city’s Department of Culture.
The selection takes place remotely: musicians do not need to come to the capital — it is enough to send links to their compositions, confirming copyright or related rights. Thanks to this format, musicians from anywhere in the world can join the project.
The project is open to all musical genres. The playlist can include pop and rock, indie and hip-hop, rap and soul, electronic music, folk, instrumental music, and other styles.
The selection takes place in two stages. First, the team of the Moscow Production Center evaluates the quality of the musical material and recording, the performance skills, as well as the composition’s compliance with the project conditions, including the requirement for original material. Then, at the final auditions, music industry experts assess the tracks based on three criteria: performance quality, relevance of the sound in parks, and overall impression. Winners are selected based on the results.
The genre diversity of the project can be judged by the playlist of the latest summer season. It included the indie and pop-rock track “Tramway of Desire” performed by the band “Mandragora” and Yulia Peresild, the ethno-folk composition “Sokoliki” by the group “Pokrov Ethno”, the instrumental piece Russian Summer by Past Day, as well as the track “Particle” by Isaeva and Maiot, combining modern pop and hip-hop. Most often in the season, indie, indie-pop, pop, hip-hop, and folk were played.
Over the years of the project’s existence, its participants have included both independent musicians and well-known performers. Among them are Mitya Fomin, Artemyev, Zventa Sventana, Mari Kraimbrery, Leonid Agutin, M’Dee, Nigativ, MC Senechka, and Naadya.
Over different seasons, the playlists of the project have featured a wide variety of tracks: “I = music” by Andrey Grizli and Leonid Agutin, “Beregom” by the project “YaAV” , “Iz Okon” by Zvonkij and Rem Diggi, “Na Gore Mak” by Zventa Sventana, “Yakutyanochka” by L’One and Varvara Vizbor, “Inache Vse Eto Zrya” by Mari Kraimbrery, “S Tmy Ili Svyshye” by the Nia and Thomas Mraz, as well as “Liven” by Meks and the band “Moya Mishel.” Thanks to this combination of artists and musical styles in one playlist, it successfully unites different segments of the contemporary music scene.
A composition for the new season does not necessarily have to be dedicated to winter. Artists can submit either a track with a winter mood or a universal composition that sounds equally organic at any time of the year. Previous winter playlists featured Winter Waltz by Infinite Stream, “Yakutyanotchka” by L’One and Varvara Visbor, “Zamelo” by Margosha and Zhenya Didur, Masquerade by Semyon Krivenko-Adamov, and “Stars are Falling” by Martgorit.
“Playlist Mosproducer | Music in the Parks” is a project that has existed since 2016. Starting from 2026, it operates year-round: summer and winter playlists follow each other consecutively, and there are no more seasonal breaks. In the previous, 21st season, the organizers received more than 1,200 applications. After selection, 51 compositions entered the summer playlist. The project’s music was played at 21 venues in Moscow, the Moscow region, and other regions of Russia.
