A photo exhibition “Routes of Childhood — Stories of Moscow’s Educators” opened on Chistoprudny Boulevard. It is dedicated to the capital’s preschool education teachers. The exhibition features 19 Moscow educators — winners of professional competitions from various years. The exhibition will run until October 5, the press service of the capital reported. “The exhibition is timed to coincide with the All-Russian professional competition ‘Educator of the Year Russia,’ whose winner in 2025 was Elizaveta Bogatyreva, a Moscow teacher and preschool educator at school No. 236 named after Hero of the Soviet Union G.I. Shchedrin. This year, the competition final will take place in Moscow from September 20 to 26. The capital will host 86 educators from regions across the country,” the agency’s press service said.
The exhibition tells about educators through their personal stories and places in Moscow that are especially significant to these city residents. For example, Lyubov Menshchikova, an educator at school No. 1574, shared her emotions connected to the Kuskovo estate. The Moscow Zoo became a special place for Tatyana Ilyina, an educational advisor at school No. 1504 and a prizewinner of the “Educator of the Year Moscow — 2022” contest. And Pavel Dementyev, the winner of the “Educator of the Year Moscow — 2026” contest and an educator of a bilingual group at school No. 1210, spoke about the Northern River Station.
“For me, participating in this project is primarily a recognition of the profession. After all, educators often remain behind the scenes, and such an exhibition is an important reminder of how significant our work is. It is also a recognition of pedagogical mastery—mine and that of my colleagues. We tried to show, through the prism of children’s memories of our beloved city, how the capital supports and inspires us today, when we, now adults, are raising a new generation of Muscovites. I want as many people as possible to learn about preschool educators,” shared Pavel Dementyev.
The opening ceremony of the final stage of the All-Russian professional contest “Educator of the Year Russia” will take place on September 21 at the Moscow Palace of Pioneers on Vorobyovy Gory. Laureates will be announced on September 25, and the winner’s name will be announced on October 1 in the Kremlin.
