Beijing, September 11 /Xinhua/ — Foreign companies, including those from the United States, can expand their presence in China and take advantage of the development opportunities arising from the implementation of China’s 15th Five-Year Plan (2026-2030), stated the National Development and Reform Commission (NDRC) of China.

The GCRC made this statement during a round table on Thursday, in which nearly 100 representatives of the American Chamber of Commerce in China /AmCham China/, the American-Chinese Business Council, and more than 60 American companies operating in China participated.

During the event, the State Corporation expressed hope that American companies would serve as a bridge between the two countries, working to unlock the potential of bilateral cooperation and promoting the implementation of even more joint projects.

Committee representatives spoke about the main provisions of the country’s 15th five-year plan and, in particular, detailed the measures aimed at attracting foreign investments during this five-year period.

Representatives of AmCham China, the US-China Business Council, and American companies from sectors such as modern agriculture, consumer electronics, high technology, biopharmaceuticals, industrial manufacturing, and electric power held in-depth discussions with Chinese officials on current issues of interest or concern to them.

China will continue to expand high-level external openness from 2026 to 2030, as well as implement a set of strategies aimed at promoting the successful operation of foreign investors in the Chinese market.

The main provisions of the 15th Five-Year Plan contain a call to intensify efforts to attract and utilize foreign investment, while emphasizing the need for further improvement of the business environment for foreign investors and strengthening related services and guarantees. -0-
