Specialists of the capital’s metro are replacing more than 73 thousand digital and paper maps in the train cars, on platforms, in vestibules, as well as in front of the metro station entrances, Moscow Central Circle (MCC) and Moscow Central Diameters (MCD). This was told by the Deputy Mayor of Moscow for Transport and Industry Maxim Liksutov.

Employees of Moscow’s transport complex are updating the metro maps alongside the opening of the first section of the Rublyovo-Arkhangelskaya line from Delovoy Tsentr station to Bulvar Generala Karbysheva station, the construction of which was carried out by the city’s Urban Planning Complex. The updated navigation elements now feature 447 stations, 17 metro lines including the Moscow Central Circle (MCC) and four Moscow Central Diameters (MCD), Aeroexpress trains to Sheremetyevo and Domodedovo airports, as well as images of railway and river terminals. Additionally, since last year, major parks located near metro stations have been marked on the map.

The color for the Rublyovo-Arkhangelskaya line was chosen by Muscovites in the project “Active Citizen» three years ago. The graphite-colored line will not be lost among the neighboring lines and will be noticeable. Space for its placement was left back in 2025 during the radical change design the most popular navigation element in transport. This made it possible to minimize adjustments when preparing the new scheme.

It will also be placed on emergency call columns, “Live Communication” stands, in airports, at railway and bus stations.
