On August 26, as a result of a mudslide on the Nepalese side at the Gyirong checkpoint in Gyirong County, Shigatse City, Tibet Autonomous Region, significant human casualties occurred, and there are missing persons. The mountain collapse blocked the riverbed, forming a barrier lake, which posed a serious threat to the lives of residents of the surrounding villages.
