Nanjing, September 10 /Xinhua/ — On Thursday, an international alliance was formed aimed at combating cross-border telecommunications and cyber fraud.

Representatives from 46 founding countries, 34 observer countries, and four international organizations, including the United Nations and Interpol, participated in the conference dedicated to the creation of the alliance in Lianyungang /Jiangsu Province, Eastern China/.

Created at the initiative of the Chinese government, the alliance is an intergovernmental organization aimed at promoting cooperation among law enforcement agencies in combating transnational telecommunications and cyber fraud and related crimes. -0-
