The development of a street-road network layout project for the reconstruction of Verbilkovsky Drive from Dmitrovskoye Highway to Dubninskaya Street has begun. This was reported by the Deputy Mayor of Moscow for Urban Development Policy and Construction. Vladimir Efimov.

“The area covered by the planning project in the north of Moscow will be 3.06 hectares. As part of the implementation of the measures, a section of Verbilkovsky Drive from Dmitrovskoye Highway to Dubninskaya Street, approximately 900 meters long, will be reconstructed. The key task is to increase the road’s capacity by expanding the roadway to four lanes—two lanes in each direction. This will significantly improve the transport accessibility of the Dmitrovsky district. As a result, seamless and comfortable access to socially significant and economic facilities will be ensured: Polytechnic College No. 8, a large shopping center, as well as the distribution center of the Lianozovsky Dairy Plant, which will help optimize logistics flows and reduce the load on the local road network,” said Vladimir Yefimov.

Improving road infrastructure is one of the main priorities of the capital’s urban development policy. Timely modernization of transport hubs not only helps optimize traffic but also creates a reliable foundation for sustainable regional development.

“The territory planning project was developed taking into account a comprehensive approach to the district’s development. The reconstruction of Verbilkovsky Passage includes not only increasing throughput capacity but also the landscaping of adjacent areas: organizing safe pedestrian zones, rearranging engineering communications, and modernizing street and road infrastructure. We are creating a modern and comfortable space that considers the interests of all residents — from motorists to pedestrians,” added the Minister of the Moscow Government, head of the city’s Department of Urban Planning Policy.
