Specialists urban utilities complex have completed the comprehensive renovation of 3rd Tverskaya-Yamskaya Street in the city center. This was reported by the Deputy Mayor of Moscow for Housing and Communal Services and Improvement Petr Biryukov.

“This year, a comprehensive renovation was carried out on 3rd Tverskaya-Yamskaya Street, located in the Tverskoy District from Oruzheyny Lane to Lesnaya Street. The main task was to create comfortable conditions for the movement of drivers and pedestrians, to organize convenient routes to residential neighborhoods, transport, and socially significant facilities,” noted Petr Biryukov.

The asphalt concrete pavement on the roadway and sidewalks was completely replaced. The total area of the renovated surface exceeded 20 thousand square meters.

Petr Biryukov explained that good lighting is a necessary condition for a comfortable urban environment, so energy-efficient lamps were installed during the work. At non-regulated pedestrian crossings, poles with contrast lighting were installed to make pedestrian markings and pedestrians more visible to drivers in the dark. At the final stage, the area was landscaped: a lawn was laid out.

Several factors were taken into account when selecting streets for comprehensive repairs: the timing of previous work, the condition of the road surface, traffic intensity, and the proximity of important city facilities.
