The “Sportland” festival will be held at Gostiny Dvor (4 Ilyinka Street) on September 19 and 20. During these days, the venue will become a magnet for active families. Throughout the festival, 12,000 square meters of the historic space will be utilized by leaders from the sports, health, education, and family leisure industries.
The organizers have prepared more than 100 diverse events for the participants. Experienced mentors will be on duty at each festival venue to help master the basic techniques of various sports and answer any questions.
In addition, three exciting thematic routes were organized for festival guests. The traditional “Sport as a Game” will include fun relays where parents can take on challenges together with their children. The route features more than 10 stations, photo zones, and a gift at the finish. This will help test your physical fitness and provide a boost of energy.
This year, two entirely new directions were also added. The “Health Trail” route will become a journey into the world of vitality and vigor through games and quizzes. Children will be able to try special healthy snacks for a light snack, and parents will receive express consultations from doctors and personalized recommendations on nutrition and lifestyle.
The “World of Discoveries” route will combine VR games, meetings with children’s book authors, traveler quests, and workshops from diving centers, a sailing academy, and tourist clubs. It will help inspire festival visitors with new hobbies for the whole family — from diving to astronomy.
On the main stage of the festival, there will be vibrant shows, warm-ups by professional choreographers, performances by creative groups from the capital, and the “Time of Gifts” lottery. All guests will also enjoy live interactions with famous athletes who will share personal success stories and give advice to newcomers.

The festival will take place with the support of the capital Department of Sports and corresponds to the goals of the state programs of the Russian Federation “Development of Physical Culture and Sports” and “Sport of Russia”. One of the goals is to increase the proportion of citizens regularly engaged in physical culture and sports to 70 percent by 2030. The capital makes a decisive contribution to achieving this task.
