Gyirong /Xizang/, September 6 /Xinhua/ — As of 6:00 p.m. on Saturday, China has dispatched a total of more than 2,500 people to carry out rescue operations following the mudslide that occurred on August 26 in the Gyirong checkpoint area on the China-Nepal border in the Xizang Autonomous Region /Southwest China/, the local emergency response and victim assistance headquarters reported on Sunday.
