A large-scale project to expand the route network has begun in the Troitsky and Novomoskovsky Administrative Okrugs (TiNAO). Over two years, in small settlements, they will organize 18 bus routes. The first eight of them were earned on City Day, said the Deputy Mayor of Moscow for Transport and Industry Maxim Liksutov.
“By the order of Sergey Sobyanin, we continue to develop surface urban transport in small settlements. We are launching a major project of the Moscow Government in TiNAO — a new route network. For passenger transportation, Mosgortrans has received 40 low-floor small-class Russian buses, equipped to the highest standards of Moscow transport. In 2027, we will continue to develop this direction and improve transport accessibility in other areas of TiNAO,” said Maksim Liksutov.
Improving transport accessibility
The Moscow Government’s project is aimed at improving the transport accessibility of small settlements in TiNAO. Eighteen routes will connect them with neighboring large settlements, social infrastructure facilities, major highways, and stations of the city’s rail framework.
At the first stage in 2026–2027, transport will become even more accessible for more than 120,000 residents of several districts of TiNAO: Troitsk, Filimonkovskoe, Krasnopakhorskoe, Bekasovo, Voronovo, Vnukovo, and Shcherbinka.
Within two years, the routes will cover 242 sites. These include horticultural non-commercial partnerships (HNCs), villages, settlements, and other populated areas. Residents will be able to choose urban transport, which will also reduce the load on the road network.
Small-class buses are suitable for settlements, villages, and gardening non-commercial partnerships: the population density there is lower, and the streets are often quite narrow. All Mosgortrans buses are equipped according to the highest standards of Moscow transport. They have climate control systems, comfortable seats, phone chargers, media screens displaying stops and travel time. The entrance to the cabin is fully low-floor, and if necessary, the driver will assist by deploying the ramp. Such buses will be convenient for passengers with limited mobility and families with children.
You can pay for the fare using the usual methods: a “Troika” card, a bank card, a QR code, and via the fast payment system.
Transfers from these buses to other metropolitan transport are free. To do this, you need to link your “Troika” card to a personal account in the “Moscow Metro” or “Moscow Transport” apps. Passengers can use the “Unified” ticket for the “Troika” card for 30, 90, and 365 days.
First routes
The first eight routes They were opened on September 5, City Day. In four districts — Troitsk, Filimonkovsky, Vnukovo, and Bekasovo — they connected 49 settlements where more than 20 thousand people live.

Prospects and advantages of the project
Another 10 routes are planned to be opened in 2027. The infrastructure for them is already being prepared. For the implementation of the first phase of the project, more than 110 new stops, over 10 layover and turnaround areas, and almost 60 passing pockets on narrow roads will be arranged.
In addition, further expansion of the route network in TiNAO is planned, so that residents of small settlements can conveniently reach any point in the capital.
Such routes have already proven their effectiveness. Since October 2024, residents have been transported by buses No. 161 (“Luzhki” — “Sunny Town”). During the period of operation, passenger traffic has doubled — to almost 400 trips per day.
