Project users “City of Tasks” invite you to take part in a series of workshops on making useful items from recycled materials and earn points in the city loyalty program for it “Million Prizes”. The classes will take place as part of a creative eco-marathon at the new eco-center of the regional operator JSC “Ecotechprom,” which recently opened in the Central Administrative District. This was reported by the city urban infrastructure complex.
Every Thursday for a month, city residents will learn how to transform old unnecessary items and create new unique objects from recycled materials. For example, the capital’s residents are invited to make jewelry from jeans, assemble stylish keychains, and much more. In addition, participants will find out how paints can be used to change ordinary things, and will be able to take home an unusual fabric shopper bag with their own design. The first workshop on making cardholders from plastic bags will take place on September 10. All events are free and available by prior registration.
As part of the creative eco-marathon, users of the “City of Tasks” project will be given access to four tasks in the section “Ecology” on the website gz.mos.ru. In each of them, it is first necessary to submit an application to participate in the master class via the attached link, wait for registration confirmation, and only then take it into work and begin execution. On the appointed date, you must arrive at the address of the class location. During the master class, you need to open the reporting form of the task and take three photographs confirming your presence, as well as a selfie with the created product. At the end, the participant must evaluate the master class by answering the questions in the reporting form and submit the task for review.
New tasks for users will be unlocked gradually until September 25 inclusive. For successfully completing each of them, project users will be awarded 390 points in the city loyalty program “Million Prizes.” For completing all four tasks, users will receive 1560 city points. These can be used to obtain goods and services from partner organizations of the program, to top up the balance of the “Troika” card, or to direct towards charity. The options for using points are displayed in the showcase on the website ag-vmeste.ru.
The new city eco-center has been operating since August 2026. It is located on Zvenigorodskoye Highway near the “Ulitsa 1905 Goda” metro station and is already the second eco-center opened by the Moscow regional operator JSC “Ecotechprom”. The first eco-center was established in the Southern Administrative District and has been operating since the end of 2025.
At both venues, in addition to master classes, there are lectures, tours, eco-quizzes, and other educational activities. They help to study the principles of proper waste management and an eco-friendly lifestyle.
More than 30 types of recyclables can be brought to city eco-centers: cardboard and paper, plastic containers, bottles, canisters, bags, aluminum and tin cans, glassware, textiles, toothbrushes, blister packs, and other rare components, as well as hazardous waste, including batteries and intact mercury thermometers.
The majority of recyclable materials are accepted inside the eco-centers during their working hours daily from 11:00 to 20:00, except Monday. The most common and widespread types of recyclables can be dropped off around the clock through the collection windows located outside.
There are also 11 eco-centers operating in the capital Department of Natural Resources and Environmental Protection. Here, classes are organized for those who want to switch to an eco-friendly lifestyle. Visitors are informed about mindful consumption and waste sorting. These habits are easy to incorporate into everyday life as a first step to nature conservation.
Project “City of Tasks” appeared in January 2022. With its help, Muscovites can monitor the work of city services, join ecological, cultural, sports, and other events. Residents of the capital have already completed more than 3.8 million tasks. The project is developed by the State Public Institution “New Management Technologies” and the capital’s Department of Information Technology.
