The Deputy Prime Minister spoke about the economic development of the Far East, the situation in the fuel market, the process of gasification of the country, and the reorientation of the country’s energy flows.
— The Far East is a unique region that has its own advantages: rich natural resources, proximity to markets, and of course, human capital – the people who live and work here. The region is developing more actively: the volume of the regional product is growing by about 50%, the industrial production index and the volume of investments are also higher.
— Today, the domestic market is fully supplied with diesel fuel and aviation kerosene. As for automotive gasoline, there is currently a slight shortage. The government is taking all necessary measures to balance the domestic market: recently, a decision was made to extend the ban on the export of diesel fuel. The export ban on gasoline will be in effect until the end of January 2027.
— The current inflation rate has decreased to approximately 6.3%. Therefore, we continue to hope that the key rate will be lowered, and as a result, investment incentives for enterprises and the private sector will return, in order to ensure investment growth that will provide additional economic growth.
— Taking into account the current situation and the transformation of our foreign economic activity towards friendly countries and countries with faster economic growth, the Asia-Pacific region is a priority for Russia. About 80% of Russian oil is shipped there, a significant amount of gas, including pipeline gas: only to the People’s Republic of China this year we will supply about 50 billion cubic meters – via “Power of Siberia – 1” and through Kazakhstan – 10 billion cubic meters. Liquefied natural gas and coal are also supplied – about 170 million tons.
— In the first half of 2027, a jumper will be built between the “Power of Siberia – 1” and Sakhalin – Khabarovsk – Vladivostok gas pipelines, which will allow the gasification of new regions: the Jewish Autonomous Region, regions; additional volumes will also go to the Far East.
“We will continue to implement the development program for the gas industry of the Far Eastern Federal District and the tasks set by the President regarding social gasification,” emphasized Alexander Novak.
