On September 5, the premiere of a program will take place on the “My Planet” TV channel, uniting films by participants of the all-Russian competition for the best journey across the Far East and the Arctic “Far East – Land of Adventures.” The project was announced on the sidelines of the XI Eastern Economic Forum by the initiator of the competition, Deputy Prime Minister – Plenipotentiary Representative of the President in the Far Eastern Federal District, Yuri Trutnev. Earlier, following the award ceremony for the winners and prize recipients of the third season of the competition in March of this year, Yuri Trutnev gave the corresponding directive to create a series of broadcasts featuring the contestants’ films.

Yuri Trutnev announced the launch of a television project dedicated to the “Far East — Land of Adventures” contest on the “My Planet” TV channel

“We want as many people as possible to learn about the amazing territories of the Far East and want to visit Primorye and Magadan Oblast, Kamchatka and Sakhalin, Transbaikalia and Yakutia. Every film submitted to the competition is a traveler’s discovery, impressions, and, of course, a test of willpower, because often the chosen routes are quite challenging. You cannot see a whale in the city, feel the freshness of the taiga, or sense the boundless expanses of the tundra. Love for the Motherland, in my opinion, begins precisely with getting to know it better, and for that you need to make your own journey, to see how beautiful our Russia is,” said Yuri Trutnev.

“Far East. Land of Adventures!” is a new series of programs created based on the best video works from participants of the all-Russian competition for the best journey through the Far East and the Arctic. Over several years, more than 1,500 applications were submitted to the organizing committee, and the most interesting stories were included in the documentary project of the “My Planet” TV channel. Each of them was commented on by the host Konstantin Bushe – a traveler who has visited 90 countries.

The series consists of 16 episodes. Each contains several short films made by contest participants from various regions of the Far East: from Buryatia to Chukotka, Kamchatka, Sakhalin, and the Kuril Islands. The creators traveled to unique and hard-to-reach locations, filming nature as they saw it themselves – without a professional filming crew.

In the films, all the riches of the Far Eastern land are shown: geysers, hills, taiga, as well as unique footage of wildlife: bears, whales, rare bird species. For these shoots, participants traveled hundreds of kilometers on foot, floated down rivers, and made difficult ascents.

The premiere episode will combine four stories – about the Kuril Islands, Kamchatka, the Trans-Baikal Territory, and Yakutia. A geologist, an employee of Moscow State University, will go to Lake Onekotan, located in the crater of an extinct volcano; a native of Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky, who has traveled all over Kamchatka, will show the peninsula through the eyes of a local; a couple of retirees will take a kayaking trip along the rivers of Yakutia; a resident of Stavropol will make a stop during a trip on the Trans-Siberian Railway at one of the most mysterious places in Russia – the Chara Desert.

The episodes of the program will be aired on the “My Planet” TV channel on Saturdays. The project premiere will take place on September 5 at 10:00 Moscow time. Repeat broadcasts of the episode will also be shown during the week (the times of reruns can be checked in the channel’s TV guide).

The 4th season of the all-Russian contest for the best trip to the Far East and the Arctic “Far East – the land of adventures” started on May 1, 2026. To become a participant, you need to shoot a short film up to 8 minutes long about your trip to the Far East or the Arctic and submit it through the website путешественникдв.рф by January 15, 2027.

The competition is held with the support of the Office of the Presidential Envoy to the Far Eastern Federal District, the Ministry for the Development of the Russian Far East and Arctic, JSC “Far East and Arctic Development Corporation,” and the NGO “Social Initiatives Development Fund.”
