For City Day at the “Alabushevo” site special economic zone A pharmaceutical square has appeared in the (SEZ) “Technopolis Moscow.” The open space is intended for the rest of employees of enterprises and residents of the capital. “By the order of the Mayor of Moscow Sergey Sobyanin, we are creating modern social infrastructure and comfortable recreational areas in the SEZ territory. A new park opened at one of the sites for City Day. Thanks to such projects, industrial areas become attractive to Muscovites and guests of the capital,” said Maxim Liksutov.
The central element of the park is a garden shaped like a Petri dish. This symbol refers to the residents of the Technopolis Moscow Special Economic Zone, who develop and produce modern medicines. Nearby, there is a decorative pond, as well as an art installation called “Ring” with built-in LED screens.
Pines, firs, rowans, and red maples, as well as shrubs—lilacs, hydrangeas, barberry, juniper, and sage—were planted in the square. The concept was developed by the Russian architect Anton Kochurkin, co-author of Europe’s largest art park, “Nikola-Lenivets.”
The special economic zone “Technopolis Moscow” will celebrate its 20th anniversary in 2026. During this time, it has transformed from a launchpad for innovative projects into a key hub of domestic industry and a center that houses companies defining Russia’s technological sovereignty.
Today, at 10 sites of the SEZ “Technopolis Moscow” covering a total area of 430 hectares, there are more than 240 high-tech enterprises operating, representing strategic fields such as microelectronics, instrumentation, biomedicine, information technology, and robotics.
Moscow is actively developing social infrastructure in industrial areas. Thanks to city initiatives, employees of high-tech enterprises receive not only modern workplaces but also quality public spaces for recreation.
