Two outdoor exhibitions have opened in Moscow featuring works by the winners of the city stage and special nominations, as well as works by the winners of the district stage of the children’s drawing competition “Heritage of My District.” The exhibition in Klimentovsky Lane can be viewed from September 3 to 17, and to get acquainted with the participants’ creativity in the Severnoe Tushino park—from September 5 until the end of the month.
“At the exhibitions, more than 60 works by the winners of the children’s drawing competition ‘Heritage of My District’ can be seen. The authors depicted architectural ensembles of the Kuskov, Tsaritsyno, and Kuzminki estates, the Church of the Intercession of the Holy Virgin in Fili, the building of the former kindergarten in the Shchukino district, and many other important objects of the capital. Each of these drawings preserves a piece of Moscow’s historical heritage,” said the head of the capital’s Department of Cultural Heritage.
In 2026, the children’s drawing contest “Heritage of My District”, organized by the capital Department of Cultural Heritage, was held for the eighth time. Participants aged from seven to 15 submitted about five thousand works dedicated to their favorite parks, embankments, streets, and buildings of Moscow. More than 130 children became laureates.
The gallery of the best works of this year includes drawings by 12 winners of the main category and 28 laureates of seven special categories — these are “Architectural Mosaic of Moscow”, “History in Stone”, “Lion Guardian”, “Theatrical Moscow”, “A Special View”, “Hero Monuments”, and “Manor Kaleidoscope”. The exhibition in the “Severnoe Tushino” park includes 24 works by the winners of the district stage of the “Heritage of My District” contest. Young authors depicted urban objects that, in their opinion, reflect the history and shape the recognizable appearance of the districts.
The city’s Department of Cultural Heritage has been holding the children’s drawing competition “Heritage of My District” since 2019. Over eight years, participants have sent more than 25 thousand works, and over a thousand schoolchildren have become laureates. The project helps young Muscovites study their districts and notice interesting details of the urban environment — from buildings, parks, and bridges to gazebos and benches in courtyards.
A large-scale project appeared on the mos.ru portal special project, dedicated to the development of key sectors of Moscow. These include transport, industry, healthcare, education, sports, and construction. The special project helps to learn how the capital has changed over the past few years, what initiatives are currently being implemented to make the lives of residents even more comfortable, and what awaits Moscow and its inhabitants in the near future.

Moscow is the center of the country’s cultural life and ranks among the leading metropolises in terms of the number of museums and exhibition halls. The city has created a film cluster that unites the Moskino film factory on Ryazansky Prospekt, the Gorky Film Studio, and the Moskino film park.
