Specialists urban utility complex have completed the asphalt resurfacing on Ryazansky Avenue. This was reported by the Deputy Mayor of Moscow for Housing and Communal Services and Improvement Petr Biryukov.
“Special attention is paid to maintaining the capital’s roads in regulatory condition. Every year, as part of preparations for the autumn-winter period, we carry out activities to renew the asphalt concrete pavement. This year, asphalt repairs were completed on Ryazansky Prospekt, which is one of the key radial thoroughfares of the city. In total, more than 350 thousand square meters of pavement were replaced,” noted Petr Biryukov.
The last time the road surface on Ryazansky Prospect was repaired was in 2022.
One of the main reasons for performing repairs is the formation of ruts caused by heavy vehicle traffic. It creates inconveniences for drivers and can negatively impact safety. Therefore, specialists regularly monitor the condition of the highways, take into account the expiration dates of the warranty periods, and timely renew the pavement when necessary. The main work is carried out at night when traffic flow becomes less intense.
The repair consists of several stages. First, the old surface is milled, then the inspection wells and storm drain grates are brought into order. After that, new asphalt is laid and road markings are applied.
Modern technologies are used in the renovation of the street and road network. Asphalt concrete mixtures produced at city-owned plants are used for paving.
