“The resettlement under the renovation program began in the Dmitrovsky district in 2019. The first offers of equivalent apartments were received by residents from the building on Dolgoprudnaya Street. Since then, residents of 25 old buildings have already moved or are in the process of resettlement to new buildings. Meanwhile, 17 buildings have been completely vacated. After the participants of the program move to new apartments, the old buildings are dismantled, and new buildings and in-demand infrastructure are constructed in their place. In total, 55 buildings in the Dmitrovsky district are included in the renovation program,” said Vladimir Efimov.
New buildings are constructed in the same districts, which allows residents to retain their familiar social infrastructure. Only in the Troitsky, Novomoskovsky, and Zelenogradsky administrative districts do relocations to new homes take place within the same district.
“In the Dmitrovsky district, 15 houses have already been demolished under the renovation program. The buildings are dismantled using the special technology called ‘smart demolition.’ This is an environmentally friendly and safe demolition method with minimal noise and waste sorting for recycling. When constructing modern residential complexes, the city pays great attention to greening the surrounding area, installing children’s and sports playgrounds, as well as recreational zones for the residents,” added the Minister of the Moscow Government, head of the city’s Department of Urban Planning Policy.
Resettlement participants receive comfortable housing with a well-thought-out layout and upgraded finishes according to the renovation program standards. The new apartments have the same number of rooms as the old buildings, while the living space is larger than before due to spacious kitchens and wide corridors.
More than 3.2 thousand Muscovites have already received apartments in modern residential complexes in the Dmitrovsky district, she said Ekaterina Solovyeva, Minister of the Moscow Government, head of the city’s Department of Urban Property. More than 900 participants in the program are currently in the process of document processing: they began inspecting housing this year.
